The Servant of the People faction at its meeting supported the candidacy of Ruslan Stefanchuk for the post of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and Oleksandr Korniyenko for the post of first deputy chairman of parliament, the faction’s speaker Yulia Paliychuk said.
“Ruslan Stefanchuk was delegated to the post of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the mono-majority by the majority of votes of MPs. It was decided to delegate chairman of the Servant of the People party Oleksandr Korniyenko to the post of first deputy chairman of the parliament,” Paliychuk wrote on Telegram on October 7.
