Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said there will be a revaccination campaign against coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in 2022.
“Why is it important for everyone to get vaccinated before the end of the year? Next year’s revaccination is likely possible. All countries are preparing for this. It is not known what strains will appear, how the virus will behave. Combining vaccination and revaccination is very undesirable, as it will break a certain rhythm,” Shmyhal said at a press conference in Kyiv on September 14.
The prime minister believes that at the current rate, by the end of 2021 it will be possible to vaccinate the majority of the adult population.
“We are not planning to introduce compulsory vaccination,” Shmyhal said.
