SkyUp Airlines has started to bring Ukrainian citizens from Sharm El Sheikh, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported.

“Egypt: SkyUp Airlines began to take our people out of Sharm El Sheikh, for which the company is grateful. In the morning, there are already five planes to Boryspil, and one to Lviv. The consul is helping,” Kuleba wrote on a Facebook.

The minister added that the Foreign Ministry was currently working with tour operators and airlines to help Ukrainians return home together with Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy. In addition, Kuleba informed that 105 citizens were stuck in Sri Lanka.

“We learn about our new compatriots abroad. We deal with them. The embassy informs me of the steps taken,” the minister said.

It was reported that 730 citizens of Ukraine were quarantined at a hotel in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh in connection with the identification of two tourists infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that there are no patients with coronavirus among Ukrainians in a hotel in Egypt.
