The Russian Federation in the first half of 2021 granted citizenship to 184,385 citizens of Ukraine, according to the statistics on the migration situation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

In January-June of this year, this is exactly the number of Ukrainian citizens who received Russian citizenship (accepted, restored, recognized).

Also during this period, it was decided to issue 16,202 residence permits for Ukrainians; and at present 105,144 Ukrainians with residence permits live in the Russian Federation.

In addition, citizens of Ukraine in the first half of 2021 received 7,583 temporary residence permits in Russia. Currently, 52,798 Ukrainians are living with temporary residence in the Russian Federation.

Also, in H1 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation recorded 154,339 citizens of Ukraine who visited the Russian Federation on private visits, 102,662 citizens came to work, 7,704 citizens for the purpose of study, 9,170 citizens as tourists, 3,078 citizens came to the country for business purposes, 143 citizens for humanitarian purposes and 15,173 for other reasons.
