A total of 590 adverse reactions to vaccination were recorded in Ukraine, three of them required medical supervision, Deputy Health Minister Ihor Ivaschenko said.
“Currently, 587 mild cases of adverse reactions to vaccination have been recorded – headache, temporary fever and fatigue. These are intended reactions, which only confirm that the vaccine is working. Also, three cases were recorded when patients who received the vaccine, needed temporary medical supervision,” he said at a press briefing in Kyiv on March 25.
The deputy minister also said that the fatal case in Odesa region will be investigated in accordance with the protocols of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, Ivaschenko said that the benefits of using the AstraZeneca vaccine far outweigh the potential risks of using it.
“This was reported by the European Medical Agency as a result of analysis of reports of blood clots in vaccinated people. The Risk Assessment Committee conducted an analysis and concluded that there is no evidence of a link between the facts of vaccination and an increased risk of blood clots in people who received the vaccine. More than 400 million people have already been vaccinated in the world and no serious consequences have been established,” he said.
