BRUSSELS – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has announced an increase in the alliance’s military presence in the Black Sea region.
“In response to Russia’s aggressive actions, NATO has substantially increased its presence in the Black Sea region over the past few years. At sea, in the air and on the ground,” the Secretary General told reporters on Dec. 4, noting that at the meeting NATO members have made it clear that they will continue to maintain a presence in the Black Sea region.
“And we will continue to assess our presence in the region,” Stoltenberg said.
