You're reading: Suprun regards strike at Bogomolets University as sabotage of educational process

Ukraine’s Acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun has called sabotage a strike at the Bogomolets National Medical University.

“It’s not a strike of students and teachers. It’s sabotage by some members of the administration and deans of the National Medical University. Please do not confuse two fundamentally different phenomena – a self-organized student movement and an initiative to disrupt the educational process, hostages of which are thousands of future doctors,” she wrote on her page on Facebook on Feb.26.

Students and labor collective of the Bogomolets National Medical University declared an indefinite strike “due to the unprecedented gross and unlawful interference of the leadership of the Ukrainian Health Ministry with the independence and self-government of the Bogomolets National Medical University.”

The Ukrainian Health Ministry, in turn, urged not to disrupt the educational process.
