Prosecutors from the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) and State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) have issued a suspicion notice to Member of Parliament Sofia Fedyna (European Solidarity faction).
The SBI’s press service on Feb. 12 said the notice was issued on suspicion of threatening to murder President Volodymyr Zelensky under Part 2 of Article 28, and Part 1 of Article 346 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
If found guilty, Fedyna could be imprisoned for up to five years.
As reported, in the PGO said in sent a suspicion notice to Fedyna on Feb. 6.
At the end of October, Zelensky spoke in raised tones while talking with volunteers in the city of Zolote, Luhansk region. After that, a broadcast was published on Facebook profile of volunteer Marusia Zvirobiy (Olena Sambul), as well as on Fedyna’s Facebook page.
MP Kachura (Servant of the People faction) filed a complaint with law enforcement bodies against Fedyna and Zvirobiy because of the uncouth statements about Zelensky, and on Nov. 1, 2019, information from Kachura’s complaint was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations.
As reported, on Nov. 26, 2019, the SBI sent a draft report to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) on issuing a suspicion notice to Fedyna and Zvirobiy for threating to murder Zelensky.
At the end of October 2019, Zelensky spoke in raised tones while talking with volunteers in the city of Zolote, Luhansk Region. After that, a broadcast was published on Zvirobiy’s Facebook. Both she and Fedyna commented on Zelensky’s trip to Zolote.
