The case of the so-called “tax platforms” involving former income and tax minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Klymenko when Viktor Yanukovych was President of Ukraine was sent to court on March 13.

“Today we are bringing to court 1,100 volumes of the case of the so-called “helicopter tax inspectors,” more than 50 heads of the tax system in the times of Yanukovych… Plundering amounting to Hr 104 billion,” Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said at a meeting of the temporary commission of the Verkhovna Rada investigating into the embezzlements in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 13.

He said that the Prosecutor General’s Office had completed its work and Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios personally loaded the volumes of the case for delivery to the Pechersky court.

According to the information department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the investigation lasted for nine months. There are 1,209 volumes of materials in total in criminal proceedings with 52 suspects.
