President Petro Poroshenko delivered a speech to commemorate the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation at Kyiv’s National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War on May 8. “The new Armed Forces of Ukraine are the guarantors of the preservation of Ukrainian statehood and of all transformations in the country. My most important task in the position of the president was to do everything in my power to change the critical situation brought to the army at the time of Russian aggression,” he said.
