Three servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been wounded in 44 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas over the first day of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO), the JFO’s press center has reported.

“The enemy, not complying with international agreements, opened fire six times from 120mm and 82mm mortars and small arms. Three servicemen were wounded. The wounded were provided with qualified medical assistance and evacuated to hospital. There is no threat to their lives,” reads a report as of 07:00 on Tuesday, which was posted on the Facebook page of the JFO’s press center.

At the same time, the report notes that Ukrainian units staying in the front line returned fire if needed in response to the shelling of militants, but without violating the Minsk agreements.

“The night of the current day was relatively calm. The enemy fired at our positions five times. According to intelligence data, the enemy has sustained losses over the past 24 hours – five people wounded,” the press center added.
