You're reading: Tightened quarantine extended in Kyiv region until April 30

The State Commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response in Kyiv region has extended the enhanced quarantine restrictions, the press service of the Regional State Administration reports.

The corresponding decision was made during an extraordinary meeting of the commission on April 22.

“The situation with COVID-19 disease in our region is still difficult. According to the regional laboratory center, 877 new cases of the disease have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The number of hospitalizations also remains at a high level. Therefore, the commission decided to extend additional anti-epidemic measures in the region for another week, until April 30,” said first deputy head of the Regional State Administration Dmytro Nazarenko.

The decision of the commission provides for the extension of additional anti-epidemic actions adopted on April 2 until April 30.

In particular, certain territories of Kyiv region, on the basis of the epidemic state, should:

– recommend, depending on the epidemiological state in certain territories, suspending the educational process in institutions of preschool, general secondary and out-of-school education of all types and forms of ownership;

– allow, taking into account the workload, increasing or decreasing the number of public transport, as well as the interval of movement on intraregional bus routes, except for such hours: from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.;

– carry out transportation of passengers in the amount of 50%.

– recommend to the heads of trade enterprises carrying out priority service for the elderly from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m..

In addition, all anti-epidemic measures provided for the “red” level continue to operate on the territory of the region.
