Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of Canada’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

Know that Canada’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity will never waver,” Trudeau said on Twitter in response to Zelensky’s tweet.

Zelensky thanked Trudeau for Canada’s support for Ukraine “in difficult times” and invited him to the Crimean Platform summit due on August 23.

“Thank you, Justin Trudeau, that in difficult times, Canada is always close to Ukraine. Canada’s assistance in obtaining the NATO [Membership Action Plan] MAP will be an important signal of support from true friends. I will be glad to welcome you to the Crimean Platform summit on August 23,” Zelensky said on Twitter.
