The Lubny and Kremenchuk armored ships have been put on duty in the Berdiansk port in Ukraine’s Zaporizhia district to prevent the illegal stopping of vessels by the aggressor country, Ukrainian Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuriy Lavrenyuk said.

“For the purpose of heightening the Ukrainian naval presence in the Sea of Azov and preventing the illegal stopping of vessels routed to the Mariupol and Berdiansk commercial seaports by the aggressor country, the first armored ship of the Navy, the Lubny, has been deployed to Berdiansk in the Sea of Azov,” Lavrenyuk wrote on Facebook.

He later added that two armored ships, the Lubny and the Kremenchuk, had been on duty in the Berdiansk seaport since the morning of Sept. 11.
