The first batch of humanitarian aid from Turkey in connection with COVID-19 has been transferred to Odesa Maternity Hospital No. 2 and the Odesa City Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

“The representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Odesa has already transferred masks and gowns to Odesa Maternity Hospital No. 2 and Odesa City Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital. We thank Odesa Regional State Administration for assistance,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Facebook on April 16.

The ministry emphasized that Ukrainian diplomats around the world continue to search for all options that will help Ukraine curb the spread of infection and save lives. “Thanks to diplomats for the service, and partners for their willingness to help in the difficult condition of the pandemic,” the ministry noted.

As Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Andriy Sybiha said earlier, the University of Ankara handed over to Ukraine the first batch of humanitarian aid, consisting of 3,500 surgical masks and 100 gowns in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
