Two Syrian citizens, while passing border control on a train from Moscow to Kharkiv, have turned to border guards with the request to be granted refugee status in Ukraine, the press service of the Eastern Regional Department of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service reported on March 31.

“The women, born in 1981 and 1996, explained during an interview with them that they arrived in Ukraine due to an armed conflict in Syria and want to get refugee status in Ukraine,” the report says.
