Leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko has said that a new presidential election should be announced in Belarus with guaranteed participation of all candidates, elections of a new Central Election Commission and observers from international democratic organizations.
“In the situation of such acute tension, the only correct decision would be the announcement of a new election wit guaranteed free participation of all candidates, election of an independent CEC and a strong observation mission from international democratic institutions,” she said on Facebook.
Tymoshenko also said that Batkivschyna condemns “the violation of rights of peaceful citizens, journalists, doctors which the whole world is observing today.”
She expressed hope for common sense of the resisting parties.
