A strong army will help strengthen Ukraine’s position in diplomatic negotiations to achieve peace and liberation of the occupied territories, leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
“Our congratulation on this holiday (Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). This is a clear action plan to strengthen our army. A strong army is an integral part of the New Strategy for Peace and Security,” Tymoshenko wrote on her Facebook page.
In her opinion, in order to strengthen the Ukrainian army, it is necessary to increase the real amount of funding for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
She said that the result of a comprehensive program for the restoration of the army would be full compliance with all NATO standards, followed by integration in the military bloc.
“Our security is in NATO, our peaceful and rich future is in the EU,” Tymoshenko said.
