U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has discussed with the newly appointed Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), Oleksandr Klymenko, the issue of support for his team’s crucial work.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine wrote this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“Ambassador Brink met with recently appointed Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor Oleksandr Klymenko today to discuss continuing our support for his team’s crucial work. SAPO is key to fighting corruption and defending against Russia’s influence and helps ensure a strong, democratic, and sovereign Ukraine,” the report reads.
As Ukrinform reported, on July 28, Oleksandr Klymenko was appointed as new head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine.
