The Kyiv Post got its second of only three owners in its now-26-year history on July 28, 2009, when Mohammad Zahoor — a Pakistani native and United Kingdom citizen — bought the newspaper from Jed Sunden, who founded the newspaper in 1995. Syrian native Adnan Kivan, a prominent Odesa businessman, in turn, bought the Kyiv Post from Zahoor on March 21, 2018.
