U.S. President Joe Biden has named Amos J. Hochstein as envoy in charge of implementing the Nord Stream 2 pipeline with Germany while safeguarding Ukraine’s security. Hochstein resigned last year from the Naftogaz supervisory board, citing pressure on the state oil and gas company from corrupt special interests.
