  • This week: The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, is expected to consider President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposals to dismiss the 15-member Constitutional Court and nullify its rulings attacking the nation’s anti-corruption infrastructure, including the removal of criminal liability for illegal enrichment, elimination of an asset registry by public officials and a reduction in powers for the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. Earlier, the court ruled as unconstitutional key parts of the 2015 legislation forming the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and declared the appointment of its head, Artem Sytnyk, as illegal.
