Video: Cycling infrastructure makes Kyiv better
In recent years, Kyiv has seen a drastic increase in both cyclists on the road and cycling infrastructure. Andriy Schular, architect and co-founder of Urban Curators agency explains how his team created the first map that the Kyiv City Department of Architecture & Urban Planning used as a template for the construction of cycling lanes. He also explains why the development of cycling infrastructure is important for a city like Kyiv. Anastasia Mararenko, executive director of U-Cycling, an NGO that promotes cycling as a safe and convenient mode of transport, explains what it means for a city to have convenient and safe cycling infrastructure.
