You're reading: Ukraine extradites Georgian citizen wanted for murder to Italy

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO) has extradited to Italy a Georgian citizen, who is wanted by Italian law enforcers for a brutal murder, PGO spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

“The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has completed the extradition check of a Georgian citizen detained in Ukraine, who is wanted by Italian law enforcement agencies for aggravated murder and attempted murder committed by prior collusion by a group of individuals,” Lysenko wrote on his Facebook page on March 5.

He noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office had decided to extradite the said citizen to Italy and on March 1, he was handed over to the competent authorities of that country.
