The commission of the Centre for Territorial Forces of the Southern Military District of the Russian armed forces, which worked from May 12 to May 16 with formations and units in the Donetsk and Luhansk Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, has reported numerous attempts by commanders to conceal non-military related losses, the Main Reconnaissance Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said on its Facebook page.

In particular, four soldiers from the 11th Separate Rifle Regiment (Donetsk) of the 1st Army Corps died and three were wounded after being mistakenly shelled at night by a newly arrived unit, the report said. In addition, a soldier was stabbed to death with a knife during a fight with a local resident.

According to the Ukrainian military intelligence, Russian commanders have given orders to strengthen measures at local military recruitment offices following the failure to enlist young men to joint formations and units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps in occupied areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
