Ukraine will continue to support the efforts of coalition forces in Afghanistan, said Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zahorodniuk.

“Given that the strong and self-sufficient forces of national security and defense of the Republic of Afghanistan are an important element in achieving diplomatic success in Afghanistan, we will continue to facilitate efforts in training and advisory activities. Ukraine supports the efforts of coalition forces in a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Afghanistan through diplomatic means,” the head of the defense department said during a meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council at the level of defense ministers of the state-contributors of the training mission of NATO “Resolute Support.”

Zahorodniuk also thanked partners for providing logistic support to Ukrainian personnel in the Mission.
