You're reading: Ukraine withdraws from agreement with CIS on general conditions of goods supplies

Ukraine has withdrawn from the agreement on the general conditions of supplies of goods between organizations of CIS states.

The government passed the respective resolution at a Jan. 30 meeting without discussion.

According to an explanatory note to the draft resolution, a copy of which is available at Interfax-Ukraine, the agreement was no longer relevant.

In particular, it foresees the identification of concrete suppliers with concrete buyers, which is contrary to the principles of the market economy.
