Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko believes that children’s health facilities should not be opened.
“I am of the opinion that it’s impossible to open children’s health facilities for this summer season, because during recovery we have about 80 outbreaks of intestinal infections … Children are taken away from health-improving facilities, taken to infectious hospitals, and there are patients in infectious hospitals with coronavirus disease now. Instead of treating an intestinal infection, we can also endanger the infection with coronavirus disease. Therefore, the proposal is to refrain from it until the epidemiological situation is stabilized,” Liashko said on the 112.Ukraine TV channel.
