Ukraine’s representative in the Trilateral Contact Group’s subgroup on security issues Yevhen Marchuk says proposals arrive to remove the Crimean issue from the agenda in exchange for the settlement of the Donbas conflict.

“I take part in another two international platforms on Donbas. They tell me during such coffee breaks: ‘Yevhen Kyrylovych, so if Ukraine officially gives up or simply removes the Crimean problem [from the agenda,] it could become a very serious basis for solving the Donbas issue,'” Marchuk said on the 112.Ukraine TV channel on Nov. 8.

At the same time, he says, these are “not private individuals” that come up with such proposals.
