Ukraine supports the aspiration to observe ceasefire along the entire length of the dividing line in Donbas, and confirms the introduction of the ceasefire from midnight June 1.
“On May 31 the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered commanders of all levels to ban the use of all types of weaponry and ammunition between the midnight of June 1, 2107, and the midnight of June 2, 2017,” the Ukrainian side in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said in a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian military headquarters’ press center on the evening of May 31.
In the event of enemy endangering the lives of servicemen and civilians, and attempts to alter the contact line, “the Ukrainian Armed Forces units will be ready to apply weapons any moment,” the JCCC said.
