You're reading: Ukrainian citizen arrested in Russia for intending to smuggle military hardware parts

The Lefortovsky District Court in Moscow has ordered the arrest of Ukrainian citizen Andriy Hashenko for intending to smuggle military hardware components, court press secretary Ekaterina Krasnova told Interfax.

“On May 31, the court granted the investigation’s request to put Hashenko under arrest until July 31, 2018,” Krasnova said.

If found guilty, Hashchenko will face three to seven years behind bars.
