A citizen of Ukraine died as a result of a traffic accident in Poland on May 29, the director of the consular service department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, Serhiy Pohoreltsev, said.
“On May 30, 2020, the Wroclaw city police department reported a traffic accident that occurred on May 29, 2020 on the A4 highway with the participation of an Opel Movano car and a Mersedes truck. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car, a citizen of Ukraine, born in 1979, died at the scene of the accident. After carrying out investigative measures at the scene of the accident, the body of the deceased was taken to the forensic institution in Wroclaw,” he told Interfax-Ukraine.
“The Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow maintains contact with the local police, the medical institution and is taking measures to search for the relatives of the deceased Ukrainian. The case is under the control of the department of consular service of the Foreign Ministry and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow,” he stressed.
