A plane with evacuees from Miami (United States) has landed in Boryspil international airport, some passengers agreed for self-isolation at home after registration in application ‘Diy Vdoma’, some went for observation, a press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported.
“The Miami-Kyiv plane arrived from the United States with 259 passengers on board, of whom almost half were Ukrainian students who crossed the ocean under the American FLEX education program,” reads the statement on Facebook on Monday evening.
According to the report, evacuation flight from the United States was specially organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
It was noted that after landing, the employees of the sanitary-quarantine unit along with the border guards of the Kyiv separate checkpoint have carried out temperature screening for all passengers.
“There was no increase in temperature or complaints of bad feeling. We add that the border guards were in personal protective equipment when carrying out control procedures, and those who carried out the appropriate formalities directly on board the aircraft checked that passengers filled out the appropriate registration forms were wearing protective suits,” reads the report.
In addition, border guards following the amendments made to the quarantine procedure by persons arriving from abroad proposed two options for two-week quarantine: self-isolation at home after registration in the “Diy Vdoma” (Act at Home) application or observation.
“In total, almost 200 passengers of this aircraft installed, ‘Diy Vdoma’ on their gadgets. During border control, the State Border Guard officers checked that these persons entered information in the application. Subsequently, these passengers went to self-isolation at the specified address. The rest of the people who arrived from the USA went for observation,” a press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
