You're reading: Ukrainian presidential website, security service’s website hacked

Unidentified hackers carried out Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on the official websites of the President and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the attacks were neutralized by the cybersecurity forces of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, its press service said on July 13.

“Application of the cyber-protection services of the system for secure access by central-government agencies to the internet ensured the full availability of the information resources and their continual operation,” the agency’s deputy chief, Viktor Zhora, said.

As earlier reported, on July 6, the Internet providers which support the online representation and websites of the President, the SBU, and other government agencies experienced a technical malfunction.
