Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says a squad of Ukrainian rescuers will go to Greece to help fight forest wildfires.

“The joint detachment of Ukrainian rescuers will go to Greece to help fight forest wildfires,” Shmyhal wrote in the Telegram channel.

He said the government at an extraordinary meeting approved a draft protocol decision on sending hundreds of experienced rescuers from Ukraine to Greece.

“Ukraine is always ready to help and support our partners. We wish Greece to curb the destructive element as soon as possible,” he said.
