A Ukrainian soldier was killed in Donbas as a result of four violations of the ceasefire in Donbas by Russia-led forces over the past day. Since the beginning of the current day, the ceasefire regime has been observed, the press center of the JFO headquarters reported.

“Over the past day, on August 23, four ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of ​​the Joint Forces operation (…). As a result of enemy shelling, one soldier received a gunshot wound incompatible with life,” the morning report said on the JFO HQ Facebook page on August 24.

In particular, the enemy fired at Ukrainian positions with 120-caliber mortars near Vodiane in the outskirts of Donetsk.

Near Maryiynka, the enemy opened fire from automatic easel grenade launchers and small arms.

Russian-led forces also carried out remote mining of the territory near Shyrokine, using a UAV of the “quadrocopter” type.

Also, the passage of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the Orlan-10 type was recorded crossing the demarcation line in Luhansk region.

“As of 7:00 on August 24, no ceasefire violations have been recorded,” the report says.
