A Ukrainian woman, infected with COVID-19, has died in the UK, said director of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Pohoreltsev.
“On May 19, 2020, the Ukrainian Embassy in Great Britain received information about the death on May 17, 2020 in the town of Chertsey in Surrey of a Ukrainian citizen born in 1978, who was infected with coronavirus. The Embassy provides assistance to the deceased person’s relatives in obtaining the necessary documents and resolving the issue of body repatriation,” he told Interfax-Ukraine on May 19.
Pohoreltsev assured that the case is under the control of the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK.
