You're reading: Ukrainians to enter Bulgaria only with a negative PCR test from July 30

From July 30, citizens of Ukraine can enter the territory of Bulgaria only with a negative PCR test done in no more than 72 hours, according to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

“Starting tomorrow, July 28, citizens of North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, Israel and Kuwait can enter Bulgaria with a negative PCR test conducted within the last 72 hours. For Ukrainian citizens, the requirement to pass a negative PCR test will be in effect since July 30,” the statement posted on the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry website said on Monday, July 27.

It is also said that foreign nationals traveling for significant reasons from other third countries can get to Bulgaria with a negative PCR test.

“The main reasons in the order of the Minister of Health are: the activity of seasonal agricultural workers and tourism workers; persons traveling for educational purposes; travelers for humanitarian reasons and representatives of trade, economic and investment activities,” the statement said.

It is reported that the PCR test is not required for persons arriving in Bulgaria from EU member states, Great Britain, Schengen countries, as well as from Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Eastern Republic of Uruguay. They are not subject to a 14-day quarantine.
