The first line of Poltava bypass road, which will connect M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky and M-22 Poltava-Oleksandriya, has been completed, the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) said on its Facebook page on July 24.

“In the modern history of Ukraine, a 520-meter-long overhead road is really impressive and I am sure that within the Big Construction program we will annually build even more such objects. The project of Ukravtodor and World Bank to restore M-03 road was launched in 2009. The project under which the first line of the road bypassing Poltava was build started in 2012. And only now we have managed to resolve all problems, the contractors carried out a lot of work in 2020,” Head of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kubrakov said.

Within the framework of cooperation with the World Bank, in addition to the first line of Poltava bypass road two more modern bypass roads were constructed on M-03 road: the villages of Pokrovska Bahachka (the section 220+782 kilometers – 228+000 kilometers) and Krasnohorivka (the section 275+000 kilometers – 282+000 kilometers). It is also planned to finish the modernization of bypass road in Lubny in 2020 (the section 197+000 kilometers – 210+000 kilometers).

Ukravtodor plans to repair and build 235 kilometers of national roads in Poltava region.
