JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia has drilled a new exploration well at the Buhayivske gas condensate field (Poltava region) with a daily flow rate of 40,000 cubic meters of gas.
According to the Naftogaz production division, the well discovered several gas deposits in the Middle Carboniferous of the field, which was commissioned in 2018. The volume of additional reserves in new gas-bearing horizons is tentatively estimated at 400 million cubic meters of gas.
“The field is located within the Podkamyany area of the Korobochkynsko-Maksalska zone. This is one of the most promising areas, which is included in the top ten of our new areas, and where we are planning active geological exploration. The potential for increasing reserves at this asset is 9.8 billion cubic meters of gas,” the report says.
In addition to the Buhayivske field, this zone also contains a number of other promising assets of the company, in particular, the Nurivske and Maksalske fields.
“In addition to the work of geologists for the exploration of these areas, our developers have drawn up a plan of service operations to stabilize production. Thus, at the Maksalske and Buhayivske fields, we plan to receive more than 100 million cubic meters of gas over the next three years,” the company added.
