The Ukrainian capital has risen by 22 places in the ranking of the world’s most expensive cities, according to findings of the latest Worldwide Cost of Living 2020.

“Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, rises by 22 places in the overall rankings, to 86th, partly owing to the country’s record grain harvest in 2019, which boosted export earnings, leading to a strengthening of the Ukrainian hryvnya against the US dollar,” reads the document released by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
