UkrInform: Smart-ID technology in Ukraine could be launched in late 2019

Free Smart-ID citizen identification technology could be launched in Ukraine in late 2019 or January 2020.

“We want that a state bank application with Smart-ID technology can be downloaded and any service can be obtained through it. PrivatBank takes specific efforts in this area and promises to launch the first Smart-ID technology by the end of 2019 or in January 2020,” Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said in an interview with the Ukrayinska Pravda online newspaper.
