UN Secretary-General António Guterres has congratulated Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

“I confirm my readiness to exert all efforts to restore peace, promote economic development and ensure respect for human rights,” the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN posted on Twitter.
