School education reform in Ukraine should take into account such a new challenge as the growing inequality in access to quality educational services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, most schools across Ukraine reopened for in-person classes on Sept. 1. However, they will start their annual autumn holidays early this year and universities will switch to remote learning in an effort to curb the growth of COVID-19 infections across the country.
