The UN expects that all parties to the conflict in the east of Ukraine will continue to operate within the framework of the Minsk Agreements and take the necessary steps to revitalize the negotiation process, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary Dicarlo has said.
She said at the UN Security Council meeting on April 26 that she expects all concerned to act in accordance with the Minsk agreements, demonstrate political will, take steps to decrease tensions and allow for resumed dialogue through existing mechanisms at all levels.
Dicarlo urged all parties to avoid any unilateral steps that could undermine implementation and to address concerns through dialogue in the existing negotiation formats.
