The residents of 52 settlements located along the “demarcation line” in eastern Ukraine will receive chickens and animal feed from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for a total of $1 million, the UN news service has reported.

“Many families living in Donetsk and Luhansk regions remained without sources of income. In particular, they cannot cultivate fields that are sown with mines. FAO will not only provide assistance for $1 million but also teach the residents how to use it properly,” the report said.
