Russia-backed separatists mounted 17 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action (WIA).
“Over the past day, the Russian-backed separatists have increased the number and intensity of shellings of Ukrainian soldiers. In addition to heavy mortars, separatists used tank armament and artillery systems in certain areas of the contact line, which is a gross violation of Minsk agreements. Fire provocations further intensified after dark,” the press center of the Ukrainian Army reported on Facebook February 8 morning.
