Russia-backed forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 38 times in the past 24 hours in defiance of an earlier announced ceasefire.
“In the Luhansk sector, the enemy fired 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns at the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Luhanske. In addition, separatists used 82mm mortars against the soldiers of the village of Troyitske, while small arms were used near the village of Stanytsia Luhanska,” the press center of the headquarters of Ukraine’s military operations reported on Facebook on April 2 morning.
