The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine on Wednesday confirmed the liquidation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate following the Unification Council held on December 15, 2018.

Filaret, the Patriarch of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv, conducts a service at St. Volodymyr Cathedral marking the 1029th anniversary of Kyivan Rus Christianization. The service was held by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate on July 28, 2017 in Kyiv.
