UNIAN: Poland looking at Ukrainian modernization package for T-72 tanks

A Ukrainian main battle tank T-72AMT shots a round during a live-fire test at a firing range on Aug. 13. T-72AMT is the latest modification of Soviet T-72A tanks developed by the Kyiv Armor Plant. According to designers, this version features modernized running gear, a new sighting system, and enhanced firepower augmented with Kombat anti-tank missiles capable of destroying hostile targets within the range of 6 kilometers.

A delegation from Poland’s Ministry of Defense visited the Honcharívske test range in the north-eastern Chernihiv region in Ukraine and witnessed a live-fire demonstration of a modernized version of the T-72.

According to Serhiy Zgurets, a military expert with Defense Express, the delegation saw a thrilling display of the upgraded T-72AMT main battle tank, Defense Blog reports.
